The blockage of an artery in the brain by a clot (thrombosis) is the most common cause of a Stroke. The part of the brain that is supplied by the clotted blood vessel is then deprived of blood and oxygen . As a result cells of that part of the brain die . Typically a clot forms  in a small blood vessel  with in the brain that has been previously narrowed due to veriety of risk factors.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;TYPES  OF STROKE&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are two main types of stroke :  ischemic  and hemorrhagic.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ischemic   stroke is caused by blockage in an artery  that supplied blood to the brain resulting in a deficiency in blood flow (ischemic).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hemrrhagic    hemorrhagic stroke is caused by  the bleeding of the ruptured blood vessel (hemorrhagic) in the brain .&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;During ischemic stroke diminished blood  flow initiates a series of events - called ischemic cascade-  that may result in additional  delayed damage  to brain cells&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;PREVALENCE&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Stroke occurs at an equal  rate in men and women , but women are more likely to die . Ischemic stroke occurs more frequently in people over age 65 and hemorrhagic stroke is more common in younger people.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;SYMPTOMS&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Symptoms of stroke  depend on the type and which area of the brain is affected . Individuals who have good mental health are well-adjusted to society, are able to relate well to others, and basically feel satisfied with themselves and their role in society.Although there is no clear cause-and-effect relationship between exercise and mental health, aerobic exercise can improve self-esteem, lessen anxiety, and relieve depression. Exercise can act as a form of meditation, changing the state of consciousness and providing a distraction from stressful situations. Many doctors believe that exercise improves mental health and prescribe exercise to relieve depression and anxiety.
